1 在ASTM D 3574和JIS以及GB/T的規范中，所提及的鞋材、泡綿、EVA類的材料密度量測，都以吸水性的測量為認定的標準，所以密度在所有泡綿物性中是非常重要的物性之一，包含用于生產化學發泡和添加劑的發泡，密度影響發泡的耐久性和支持性。
